Scandinavia - (Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo)
On our whirlwind tour of Scandinavia we visited Stockholm, Copenhagen and Oslo. We generally found it exceptionally clean but very expensive especially going out for dinner and drinks. In Stockholm we caught the hop on hop off tour bus to take in the sights of the city, which included the Royal Palace where we saw the changing of the guards. We got our cultural fix by visiting the modern art gallery as well as the Vassamuseet which houses the Royal warship Vasa which was salvaged after 300 years in the depths of Stockholm harbour. We did some shopping in Gamla Stan district which is lined with cute boutiques on cobbled streets. We both bought some stunning necklaces and one piece has turned out to be my favorite piece that I wear at least once a week. That night we took the advise one of the locals and went out for dinner in Sodermalm, a trendy area of Stockholm that is less touristy. We had a fantastic meal at Roxy's and then went to Koh Phangan and same same but different a Thai bar/ restaurant and had some tropical cocktails before heading back to our Hotel (Scandic Part Hotel) we ended up having a few drink in the holel bar before going back to our rooms as it was very lively and packed. It seems to be a popular choice for the young Swedish crowed to hang out in trendy hotel bars.
