Every city in the States has it's own distinctive vibe and Miami's is clearly laid back. We stayed in the Art Deco district in South Beach Miami, between Collins Avenue and Espanola Way. Everyone seems uber body conscious, which is evident in all the spandex clad bodies roaming the streets. It makes you feel like you're back in the 80's, but on a more positive note....the t-shirtless buff bodies are quite appealing to the eye. Our day trip to the Everglades was great fun and Tanya got to wrestle a alligator....well almost. We drove around in a flat-bottomed, air-propelled boat and spotted gators in their natural environment. A day trip around Miami took us to Coconut Grove - Miami's oldest community, Coral Gables which is an exclusively rich residential area, The Biltmore Hotel, Little Havana - surrogate homeland of Cuban immigrants since the 1960's and Biscayne Bay where we hopped onto a boat to check out some of the stars homes.
