We arrived in LA and checked into the Gershwin on Hollywood Boulevard. The guy at reception was quite distressed as he informed us that he had to write up his first death report. Brilliant! What a great first impression. We did the touristy thing and went on a Hollywood tour, saw the famous stars on Hollywood blvd and the infamous Hollywood sign in the hills. The weather here is perfect. Blue skies and sunny days (well at least for the duration of our stay). A visit to Santa Monica and Venice beach was a must. We also went to Muscle beach with the intention of viewing some tasty morsels, but there was not a muscle in sight. As we were in LA, a night at the Viper Room was on the cards. It was seriously disappointing but the evening redeemed itself when we met some fab women from Michigan. We had more fun hanging outside on the street corner than inside the actual venue. The next day we met up with Lincoln and he introduced us to his LA posse. We had a great evening at Charlie's, where we were also introduced to our now favourite beverage, Vodka and green tea. On the Sunday we all went to the Hollywood Bowl to see Zero 7 and other bands. It is a huge amphitheatre, a fantastic venue.
