Well so I've finally left Ollerup (on Monday to be exact) and am now in Tronheim (well a small town just about an hour away), Norway. Unfortunately there is no internet where I am so I'm just writing this now and will post it once I get to Tomas's place. I'm currently working at a summer camp called Saltouka where there are 110 kids learning gymnastics and more. So far it's been very good and they can all understand me when I'm speaking English, woohoo!
Last night we had a horror run in the forest and the school but unfortunately it was still too light when we started but the kids did get scared most of the time. Some were trying to act tough and not be scared but we knew deep inside they were scared out of their wits! Oh for those that don't know what a horror run is… it's when the kids go along a route and during this route there are some scary things hanging around or people scaring the kids in different ways. I was dressed in a blue cloaky thing with very scary make-up (photos will be up soon) standing at the end of a bridge. A lot of the kids screamed and called me "the ring" or "the grudge". And the quote of the night was "I've watched too many movies" hahah. It was quite a good night but as I said before it was still light when we did it so it wasn't as scary as what it could've been. We also had a girl hanging in the playground, people popping out of bags, a bloody hand in the window and more. It was quite fun except for the rain. Yes it's not really summer weather here even though it is summer so we got a little bit wet as well.
Anyways I'm going to go back to last week when I was still at Ollerup. There is one thing you have to do before you leave Ollerup and that is…. Jumping from the 10m platform into the pool. It was very fun and yes I have it on video. Also I had set a goal for myself (a tumbling skill) I wanted to achieve before leaving and I managed to do so on my last day. I performed a double layout (double straight somersault) from the fibretrack…. Booyea! With spot of course but only in the first part. It was such a good feeling. Don't think I'll ever get to do it again as there are no facilities like at Ollerup in Australia. But maybe I'll be back at the school again.
It was quite sad to leave the school. I had postponed packing for so many days and then really had to do it! I really didn't want to leave as Ollerup had been my home for the past year and even though there are approx. 70 new students now invading our school (yes it feels like an invasion even though we are now officially former students and Ollerup is the new home for the new students, but it doesn't matter). If I could I would stay at Ollerup for as long as I could (but with better food), I had already extended my say there by a month! Haha well it was fantastic while it lasted and I can only say good things about it. But yes it is time to move on, can't live at home forever can I?!?!
SO now I start my adventure in Norway (well once I finish at this summer camp) and travel around visiting friends from school and then to Sweden. I'm really looking forward to it, I know it'll be fun, just hoping the weather will hold up.
Anyways it's time to get some rest and then get ready for the talent show! Yes should be fun, I'm one of the judges, the judge that loves everybody even if they are truly really really bad!
Well time to sign off, take care.
xoxo
