In Foz do Iguacu! Woke up at 3am and couldn't get back to sleep, was so annoying as I would have loved an extra hour's sleep. Oh well! Left at 5am for São Paulo airport which took just under 6 hours. The bus wasn't very comfortable but I managed to get a bit of sleep which shows how tired I was! Got to the airport with plenty of time to spare. There was really bad turbulence on the plane for a long period of time so a lot of people started to get frightened ...

What a crazy day it's been! Breakfast was provided at the hotel, so had some but it wasn't that good. Went on a boat trip visiting beaches and islands around Paraty. The weather wasn't good at all, was very cloudy. Started by sitting in the top deck then had to move down as it was pouring down!. Visited the first island, some people jumped in and swam in the sea. I didn't have the courage just yet as I knew I'd be cold when I got out! So not many people swam. ...

In Paraty! It's a lovely place. Could have slept longer but had to get up to get the boat back to the mainland for our bus to Paraty. Got the boat with the other group so it was nice to talk to some of them again before going our separate ways. We left Ilha Grande on the right day as it was really cloudy and started to rain a bit.
