In Paraty! It's a lovely place.
Could have slept longer but had to get up to get the boat back to the mainland for our bus to Paraty.
Got the boat with the other group so it was nice to talk to some of them again before going our separate ways.
We left Ilha Grande on the right day as it was really cloudy and started to rain a bit.
Got to Paraty at lunchtime so we all went out for lunch before looking around. Lunch was self service, so we could help ourselves to whatever we liked and they charged us according to how much it weighed. It was cheap!
We went into a shop that sells many different flavours of cachaça, the spirit in a caipirinha which is Brazil's favourite cocktail. I tried a chocolate and chilli one which was so nice! You couldn't even taste the alcohol at all!
Walked around Paraty, saw the port, a few old buildings, etc. It has a lot of character.
Went back to the hotel and chilled for a bit before going out for dinner at a nice seafood restaurant. Brazil is more expensive than Peru and Mexico. So have to be more careful with my money now unfortunately.
Went to this festival for a bit after dinner in the pouring rain! It's on once a year so we were lucky to be there at the right time! It was okay, nobody could understand a thing as it was all in Portuguese lol!
Hoping to go on a boat trip tomorrow if it doesn't rain! It'll take us to various beaches in Paraty and caipirinhas are included too, as many as we like I think! They are so nice!
