Had a nice lie in until 9am before going on a hop on hop off bus tour with another girl, Heather. We were meant to be meeting some others too but nobody turned up on time so we decided to just go ahead.
It took us 5 hours to complete the whole route without even getting off apart from one stop for a quick lunch. And there was still plenty to see! Shows how big Buenos Aires is.
Saw the Boca Juniors football stadium, La Bombonera. I'm hoping to make any footie fans jealous?? :p I didn't go in though.
Sat in the top deck as it was an open top bus and it was warm in the sun but got colder and colder because of the wind! Wish I brought my coat! Eventually it got too cold so we went downstairs to keep warm! So didn't take as many photos then because of the reflection in the window!
Went out for the evening. It turned out to be a brilliant one. We had tango lessons followed by a 3 course meal and a tango show.
I was a bit apprehensive about having tango lessons as I'm not the most confident dancer and I have no rhythm whatsoever! But it turned out to be really enjoyable, I actually enjoyed it so much that I'm considering taking tango lessons when I get back home. I also wasn't the worst dancer and picked it up pretty quickly so I was pleased with myself! There were more women than men so us girls had to take in turns to dance with the men. The men were taught different steps to the women so I wouldn't be able to teach any men the moves as I have no idea what they are, I was too focused on my own lol!
After the lessons we had a really nice 3 course meal with as much wine as we liked. Safe to say the wine just kept flowing all night! I had the best tasting salad I've ever had for my starter, steak for my main course (I couldn't turn it down :p) and it was amazing! And for dessert, flan (or creme caramel to us Brits.)
We were expecting to eat throughout the show but it didn't start until we had our pudding. Probably a good thing as it meant we could focus on it and enjoy it more. The show was amazing, really enjoyable. The dancers were so good. It made the tango lessons we had earlier seem so basic! They also involved some of the audience and danced with them which was great.
It was the last night for two people who are leaving us tomorrow. 3 new girls will be joining us tomorrow evening.
