In Buenos Aires, Argentina for the next 3 nights. A huge contrast to Uruguay, it's great! People are more well off here compared to Uruguay and Brazil for sure.
Had a quick breakfast before getting the ferry across to Buenos Aires. It only took just over an hour.
Back to being in a proper lively city once again. I can see what people mean about Buenos Aires being more like an European city. It doesn't feel like I'm in South America at all!
Checked in our hotel, it's so nice! The nicest hotel since Lima probably.
We went to exchange money in a small shop. Exchanged US dollars as they're worth so much here. Actually made a profit out of it, possibly even £100 better off so I was very happy! Might treat myself to a new top or something :p need to buy a few more warm clothes for Bolivia anyway as someone just went there and it can get as cold as -10! So will need plenty of warm layers.
I had to be very careful walking around with so much money on me. I was so glad once I got to the hotel safe and sound at the end of the day with all my money lol!
Tried some empanadas for lunch which were so nice.
Walked around for a bit. Hoping to go on a hop on hop off bus tour tomorrow so I can see more of the city.
Went to see a band play, which was good! The atmosphere was great! They played various instruments, mostly drums which are called a bombo.
