RESULT!!!! Today was probably my favourite day so far! I went on a trip to Moreton Island, which is a big, pretty much uninhabitated island 2 hours off Brisbane. And, its paradise! Saw dolphins on the way over too! I was sitting with my legs over the side of the boat and a whole school of them appeared playing next to the boat, and in the wake - they really are super special! As for the island... I did a tour so there were 10 of us in a 4x4 thing and the guy driving was a wealth of knowledge. Found it really interesting understanding how well the ecosystem on the island supports itself. The main wow factor was that I never saw another group of people the whole day in such a stunning place. We swam in a freshwater lake, got massaged by the waves in the 'champagne pools', where the waves break hard over rocky coves, wandered along a completely deserted white sand beach that was 35 km long, and generally felt in heaven! Back in Brissy now, not for long... off to Noosa tomorrow, to mingle with the surfers and dolphins its famous for! Big :) Dolphin kisses (Sis, Mimi, Ben, Karin)... T xx
