This time I am sitting in a internet cafe on the side of a road- in a super market- with air con (wooop wooop)
We have had a crazy few days since I last spoke to you - I ate a cricket!!! This is all a bit crazy because we have done so much - we visited this place called we left at 7am the next morning and went on a 1* mini bus- with a ants nest on the back seat to the bus station which was all fun and games! From there we got another bus which was a bit nice to Kapong Cham - from here we went on a cycle ride- yes thats right I CYCLED! around this island and visited schools etc- was amazing. The way we had to get this island was on this 'ferry'which was bascially a piece of wood on water- with motor bikes, us and horses on!! The island was awesome, a beautiful place and was so nice seeing it on a bike! even though there were races throughout! That night we went to a house and had a traditional meal there- this is where I ate the cricket! It was actually quite interesting tasting!! like a crisp! The day after we travelled to pnom penh... on the way we stopped at a happy house and our leader Savath ate a huge spider!! It was huge and the kids were playing with this big big spider too!! Pnom penh city was a little bit insane. there was a 5 storey shopping centre with a ridiculous amount of fakes- there was even fake clark shoes, with a hilarious - made in italia symbol on them! Had lunch here and then got onto a 2* bus to Takeo... this bus was ridiculous. it was meant to have air conditioning- but there was nothing of the sort, more like a trickle of cold air slightly wafting. When everyone got off it was like we had all wet ourselves it was that sweaty!! We then got off 2 hours later at this home stay. We just chilled with a pack of cards all night and chatted and ate lots of food- apart from the toilet and mass of mosqiutos it was awesome!! OH apart from this HUGE bug kept flying at us which scared the living s*** out of me. The people on the group are hilarious!! Lots of hammocks and generally chilling central, although night was interesting sharing - all you could hear was insects and frogs!! One girl- maxine, makes me laugh so much!! Although I got bitten (by a mossie) quite a bit I had a good night!
This morning we had brekkie and left at 8 to get the same s***ty bus to shianoukville - this place is cool! beach central! so been chilling on the beach today with a few people which has been wovery! Played celebrity heads on the bus which made the four hours pass quickly! The only downside to this place is the amount of people coming up to you to try and sell stuff- gets really annoying!
