This week has been a lot of fun! On Saturday a group of us went to Rottnest Island. It's an island a half hour off the coast where the govenor used to live. Now, it is just a vacation island with over 60 beaches and great activities. After the ferry ride to the island, we went snorkeling. It was so awesome!!! We were right in the reef, and saw a ton of fish. Then we had some lunch and walked around the island for a few hours. We walked at least 3 of the beaches, saw a lake on the island, and went up one of the lighthouses. Even though we did some much, we had to leave a bunch of the island unexplored, but it was still really really great.
The past two days the 31 of us took a class trip South West. It was wonderful. We started off Wednesday morning by heading into Bunbury. We got a trip up a huge lookout tower where I got a million pictures of the lovely twon. After that we headed to the sea to go dolphin watching. We saw so many dolphin's, but it was too hard to take picutres of them -- so you will all just have to imagine how lovely the fish were. After that we went to Busselton and took a long walk down the jetty (its the 2nd longest jetty in the world) to an underwater observatory. We got to see even more fish here, and it was like sitting the middle of the ocean underwater. From there we went and set up camp for the night, then into town. After a trip to the bottle shop a bunch of us hit the beach and relaxed until dinner time. After dinner everybody when back to the beach where it was too dark to swim, but the perfect place to see the starts. We even saw a few shooting stars! When we woke up this moring we headed out of town to the Ngilgi Cave, which was of course great. After that we went to a chocolate factory. Mmmm. It was a great pre-lunch snack. We took as many free samples as possible. After that we headed to a Raptor Park where we saw loads of rescues birds. At the park we got to see a show and I got to hold a raptor on my arm. It was so exciting!!!
After two really hot (about 104 degrees), and really busy days we came home and played some cards and hit the pool. Tonight I will need to make sure to get a lot of sleep so I can go on more great adventures this weekend. Just a note: you check out my newest video, I apologize if it is sideways. oops.
