It was Anzac day today (bank holiday) and we took a family trip our to Victor Harbour. It was a 1.5 hr drive and we stopped at a cheese factory along the way which was unfortunately closed. The harbour was lively but quite windy. We walked along the jetty from Australia to Granite Island. The jetty was cute as they had a horse drawn tram carrying people to the island. The kids were practising their balancing skills on the trams rails!
We gads chips for lunch. It was interesting to learn that Anna and Natasha's ears also hurt in the wind and I lent Anna my ear wind head band which was cute.
We took a walk/climb to the top of the island and saw dolphins in the sea! Joni saw his friend Jack from school and was mega excited about talking to him, and when they finally reached us they were Borge like 'hey' and let the parents do all the talking! Lol.
Some piggy backs and photos later we started walking back. Anna had a little tumble and then when back on the mainland Anna had a cute pony ride and the boys went on the bumper cars!
We drove back seller ate and a miss communication meant we were home about 45 mins before them, but the rest was much needed!
We had a nice smurf filled evening and I ate kangaroo which was delish!
