It is with great regret that I must once again write from my sick bed. I appear to have had a recurrence of the serious tropical illness I caught in Hong Kong.
It is showing slightly different symptons this time. The skin on my back has gone bright red/pink and I am feeling a burning sensation. Clearly beri beri is setting in. My only regret is that I may need to miss several months of work on the sick - terrible news.
I know what you are thinking but it couldn't possibly be sunburn as my delightful and lovely family have been rubbing sun block upon my person and they wouldn't miss any spot, surely.
Previously I wrote that teenage boys smell funny. I wish to update this in that we now all smell funny as several days in a camper van seem to have made us all smell funny. No amount of swimming or showers will ever scrub the smell of the van from my personage I feel permanently sullied.
My sleeping compartment was so small my head could touch the top and I still had to bend my legs to lie down!
All this close quarter living is beggining to take its toll with too many sights sounds and smells (!) being shared.
All I can hope for is that the beri beri kicks in son and I pass the rest of my time in a fevered haze!

Elisabeth I knew you should have worn burkini! Loved the photographs. Following progress on maps, look to be too many mountains for me. Hope fever does not last too long.
Aelith Pugh Love that blog! So you wouldn,t recommend a camper van holiday then??? Glad you can still joke through the pain! L! xxx
Dad Dad, Fascinating, I have just been looking at Danbury VW camper van conversions, I think I may have gone off the idea i.e.sell the boat and get a mobile home. Look small inside for two never mind four. But the photos look great , in spite of it looking like either crocodile country or snake territory. you all look happy on the photos so hope the fever does not spread.
Barbara Now now boy! Snap out of it - put a peg on your nose and smile through thr pain. Love the photos. There are lovely ones of you all plus the countyside of course.
