Today I am spending International Women's day in Mangalore. Mangalore is a small, quite old port town with not too much sights to see. (At least according to my guidebook.) Hi! Today was my second sight-seeing day here in Mysore. Yesterday I saw the main sights of Mysore and today I visited Srirangapattanam where I learned a lot more about Tipu Sultan and his relatives. Actually the Brits killed all his seven sons as well as him. They also took gold and silver doors from his and his parents tomb memorial. It is my second day in Bengaluru now. My impression of Bengaluru is much more positive than Chennai. May be that it is because I have only seen a small part of Bengaluru, but at least Gandhinagar section and the Cubbon park and its environment are nice. Now my flu symptoms seem to be behind - at least so far. So this morning I had my last French breakfast so far in Pondycherry. After breakfast I went back to L'Ocean Hotel and checked out. Then I took auto-rickshaw to the bus station (50 INR) and took the first bus leaving for Chennai. The bus trip took, as expected, about 4 hours, costed 95 INR and ended at a bus station far from George town where I was aiming at.
