Slept longer this morning, 'cause I had a pretty bad nights' sleep.
Last day in Koh Tao, which is in the other hand also a good thing. I'm starting to be a bit frustrated into the "rip off tourists"- culture, which in some
aspects still exists here, naturally, in a way. Also discovered some bad sides in the Star Villa: kitchen equipments under the sink were coveres in mold(!), like te frying pan, etc. We said about that, the owner just observed like:"ok, the water has been leaking from the sink tap." Yeah, obviously, but could he do smth about it? Like clean up or smth..? No, he didn't, only gave us another one. Didn't sound to take it very seeiously, atm. Though when we came back home at the evening, they had cleaned up, and left a note saying sorry and with free drinks from the fridge as a compensation. I would still rather suggest to repair the leak and to get rid of the smell of mold all over the cupboards in the kitchen. If it'd mean building a new kitchen, I'd suggest to do it, before the mold gets the whole place..
More upgrading ideas for Star Villas would be: a good plankets with sheets (not ONLY a sheet for a blanket, which is so cold that you cannot use the air con, 'cause you'll feeze over. > you gotta use the fan only. And then you may wake up at night that there's not enough oxygen), better kitchen facilities, a drinking water tap; providing only about 3l drinking water/2(!) persons/day is not even hardly enough!! One person alone should drink about 5l/day at these levels.. These for a start. A good point was a complimentary jeep ride twice a day (back&forth) to Sairee, because they located on a steep hilltop.
We had lunch in a Thai place in Sairee and did a bit of shopping, but unfortunately we didn't have time anymore to go to the Animal clinic; it would've been over 1/2hrs taxi journey to the other side of the island and it was opened 'till 5PM, not later. And the time was already over 3PM. Pity, I would've wanted, but you cannot always have time for everything..
Went for a mojitos to Barracuda and after got a taxi back to our villa, at about a bit over 6pm. Wanted to see the sunset from our villa's balcony, from the hilltop, since this was our last chance. It was nice. Today would've been nicer, though, without the sunburns in my back, which forced me to keep a bit too much clothes on.. :P
Luckily they'll heal, but it'll take time.
