Winter holiday at the West Indies, Antigua and Barbuda. Yesterday we went roaming to St.John's, the island capital. Funny thing, the harbour, to where all the huge cruise ships come, there were lots of shops and restaurants and the streets looked more "posh". And when you went a bit more further, to the St.Marys str., f.ex., there were anymore mostly locals wondering there. Went for a beer t the C&C's Wine Bar, the only "gay friendly" restaurant which I rememberto have seen a mentioning somewhere in the web. Then Pina Coladas at the Hemingway's, which looked a bit overpriced. "Surprisigly". ;)
Well, we ended up to eat coupla Chow Meins with a juicy chicken leg at a very local, small vendor along the St.Marys Str., big portion, tasted ok, cost like 5€/head (with a can of beer with a straw ;)
Was to take a taxi afterwards to home and when looking for a taxi, a guy named Anthony gave us a ride, very readinably priced after some bidding ;)
He was a official taxi driver, at a free time with his own car. But as he seemed like an honest guy, we arranged with him that he comes to pick us up on Monday at 11AM and takes us to Long Bay for a snorkeling trio and then comes to pick us up, and takes back home via a Supermarket, that we can add up our stocks.
