We arrived in Penang late afternoon, so time for a shower to freshen up then we headed out for a group meal. We ate at a really nice Indian Resturant. Dinner was served on a big green leave instead of a plate which was really cool - i think you should consider this mum think how much time you'd save not having to wash up!! After dinner we headed to some some bars and ended up in one which had live music the band was very good and got to have a bit of a boogie!!
The next day was a free day to do whatever we wanted, so i headed out to explore George town which is where we were staying in Penang, Rosina my room mate and Groud our tour guide joined me which was nice. First stop was Fort Cornwallis but unfortunately it was closed as it was a sunday so we carried on wondering around the town. Some of the buildings were stunning to look at such as the town and city hall and also the Victoria Clock tower. We wondered around Little India and had a look in a few shops then we visited Masjid Mosque which was stunning. It was becoming very hot so we took time out to have a drink and take in the atmosphere. Once all refreshed we headed to Khoo Kong Si Temple - another stunning structure and interesting as its run by a family and there was a museum where you could read about there history and how it has passed down generations. By lunchtime it was to hot to wonder around so i took shelter in an airconditioned internet cafe!! That evening a few of us went out for dinner and had a wonder around. It was then time to pack up ready for an early start the next day which was going to be a traveling day towards Nakorn Sri Thamarat, across the Thai border.
