Hi all, sorry for the lapse in blog entries. This has not been a very busy couple of weeks. We have done lots of moving, had TONS of rain, lightning and thunder, much to our girls delight. Abbie and Lucy will be checking into rehab when we get home. It is lucky we brought large bottles of calming aids along with us.
In Ionia, MI. we saw all there was to see. We missed seeing our friends, Tom and Donna Scott, our reason for going to Ionia in the first place. They had a family emergency in California. We drove to Portland, Mi., a small town, headed off to the State Park in the area to look around and endured a crazy storm.
Off to Anderson, Indiana, a beautiful spot. Large grassy places for the chicks to work off energy, Dale and I should have tried the same thing.
We drove all over, beautiful houses and huge lawns. Actually GREEN!!!!!
Next spot, Mulberry Grove, IL. Well, the only exciting thing I can report from there is that the girls got a bath, wheeeeeeeeee.
Arrived at Happy Trails RV in Phillipsburg, MO. We had this raging urge to sing when we pulled into the park. It was a very pretty spot, lots of grass. Unfortunately, it was a spot that gets tons of rain. We had to drug the girls again. They are starting to slur their barks from all the drugs.
Tulsa, here we come!!! We have been here several times, always a stop to see our friends, Terry and Mary Etta Clark. We always have such a good time with them. We went out for dinners, shopped, saw all there was to see, ate and drank some more. Terry is the king of Ice Cream. He has a large choice of flavors at home; I think we tried them all. We got to meet her daughter Marsha. That was her Corvette I was drooling over in the picture.
Dale got out of cooking, Terry did it all. He had great meals for us several times. Terry & Mary Etta are great hosts and we appreciate their hospitality.
Dale got to take a ride in his Hot Rod that he has re-furbed. We will miss them, trying to convince them that they need to come out to California for a visit.
Then comes Texola, OK. Well, more rain, lightning and thunder. They had storm warnings on the radio all night. I think we got about three minutes of sleep, Abbie and Lucy never stopped panting. We are almost craving the lack of rain we get in California.
We are in Tucumcari, N.M., leaving tomorrow. We have been at this park so many times, we know how many leaves are on each tree.
Off to Rio Rancho tomorrow to see Windy & Shirleen Helzer. Will send out an update from there.
Hope all is well with you all, we love you and miss you. Mr. & Mrs. Rain Clouds and their daughters, Lightning, Thunder and Hail!!!

Sherry Wow! Nice update (you're so funny). You guys are going to some of my favorite places! I loved NM so much when we passed through there before. We were thinking of you guys when we saw the storms and weather predictions on the news for your trip. We are keeping you in our prayers! Love, Ray, Sherry, Celia and Harley :)
Dave and Bev To bad you can't send some of that rain out our way!!! Stay safe
