Hi all from Rio Rancho, New Mexico. The fun in the sun capitol of the world. We have had a great time here visiting with our friends, Windy and Shirlene Helzer. We have known each other since the beginning of time. (Well at least high school)
We saw the Rio Grande River. Well, not exactly the Colorado, that is for sure. But still nice to see. There is an Indian complex there that was pretty interesting. Didn't buy any trinkets, I am at my limit on Turquoise Jewelry.
Hit two different casinos. One was lucky (picked up $300 big ones) the other one needed my donation which I so graciously gave them. Couldn't hit a thing. Oh well, the girls were really not counting on those new outfits anyway.
Shirlene and I managed to hit every shopping area, we felt it was our responsibility to improve the economy in New Mexico.
We had fun dinners out and at their house, which by the way, is beautifully decorated inside and out. We also had one at our rolling palace. Lucky Dale hasn't forgotten how to cook!!!
We held Abbie's 14th Birthday Party. We decided not to surprise her, didn't want her to go into puppy shock. Windy and Shirlene were good sports, wore the cute birthday hats, sang her Happy Birthday and tried not to laugh at my silliness. After all, I had been planning this shindig for months. I told Abbie that she had to make it to14; I already had her party planned.
All in all a great week. Heading off to beautiful Holbrook, AZ. There is absolutely nothing to see or do there. Just a spot to spend the night, rest Merlin and us and leave in the morning. We will be heading to Needles, another fun spot.
We plan on being home on Sunday the 30th. Get out the booze and the horns, the Nash bunch is on its way.
Look for our final update when we arrive home. This has been a wonderful trip. We have seen old friends, made new ones and enjoyed all the sights along the way. Have missed all of you!!! Love, Mrs. Nash, Mr. Nash and the Nashlets, Abbie, Lucy and Suzie

Connie Happy birthday Abbie! I remember wearing those silly party hats for your sister (step sister? half sister) Aimee! Sorry I don't have a wallet and some birthday cash to give you! I'm retired now and just don't have the resources I had back then. Boy - you are hitting the garden spots during the worst heat wave of the year! Be safe - have fun. Love & Hugs - Connie
Kaye Collins Wow, what a trip. Have a safe journey home, will contact you then. Love you guys. Sis
Sherry Great blog entry!! We love your updates. Be safe and we are sending prayers up for you that everything is good at home and you are able to relax. We love you guys!! P.S. Erika may bring us some tropical moisture and winds but they don't think it will be a hurricane when it hits FL.
Linda Boston Sounds like you both, along with the girls had a wonderful trip! I know how great home will feel once you land there!!! So happy you shared your adventures, I have had a great time reading them. Makes me wish we on the road too. Have a safe trip home, Linda B
