Hello all!!! This will be my first blog in my 70's. Good grief that is a hard one to say.
We have been busy playing. We are sure enjoying our time at this RV Park in Tawas, have met some great people and we will miss them
We got our boat in the water for its maiden voyage. We had the girls with us, such good sailors they are. We didn't stay out too long, it was a hot day and the princesses were worried that they would ruin their hair dos. Come on ladies, we all know how that is! Everything worked well and we can't wait to try our hand at fishing. Not that I will touch, eat, clean or cook said fish, but I do like catching them and then turning my head when Dale takes them off the hook.
We took the girls to the beach again, they have so much fun. Suzie & Lucy chase the balls and Abbie snores. But then again, so does Dale.
Well, we went fishing! Caught two tiny Blue Gills and let them go. They would not have been worth cleaning. It was fun until the locals decided to go jet skiing and water skiing all around us. Now, this is not a big lake, so you can imagine how fun it was every time they went by us, we almost tipped over. When we had had enough rocking and rolling, we called it a day. When we were leaving, we saw the sign that said "Water Skiing allowed between the hours of 11-3:00. Sure wish we had seen that sign earlier!!!
Took a drive to Tawas Light House. It is one of the oldest lighthouses in the state. It is not a working one any longer, but a tourist attraction and since we be tourists, we had to see it!! Would not want to miss anything you know.
Now to the social event of the summer, MY BIRTHDAY!!! What a wonderful day. Got lots of messages on Facebook, lots of phone calls from my wonderful friends and family, it was the best!!! Thank you all!
Dale & I went to the Tawas Inn for dinner on the lake. We had a window seat and could watch the boats coming and going. Sat on the patio after dinner and watched the sun go down. Had a couple of drinks, and oohed and awed about how beautiful it was. It was truly a great day!!!
We will be shoving off on Saturday, August 1st. Heading to Ionia, MI. We will be there for a couple of days, we have some sights we were told we must see!! So we must be doing that, you know how we always follow orders.
Can't believe we have been gone for two months already, it has been such a nice trip so far and we have lots more up our sleeves!!
Miss you all and love you too, Dale, His Not So Young Bride, and our adorable fur kids.
