The magnificent Duomo of the Cattedrale di Santa Maria Del Fiore

At last!!! The Ponte Vecchio. Have heard about this famous bridge for years and now I've seen it. It has a range of shops along either side of the bridge - mostly gold and diamond jewellery and high end watches etc. It's a vibrant place.

Michelangelo's David with my David. Our train trip from La Spezia to Firenze was uneventful. We saw the many marble quarries on the mountainside again. It was raining when we arrived.
