Day 27
Cologne
Well wew finally got a fantastic sunny day to finish out adventures in Europe. We started the morning with a bike ride along the river- yes even I rode a bike. There are no helmets and we only hire the bikes for an hour but it is well worth the money to be able to see things at a faster pace. We are out early enough that there are not hundreds of tourists to dodge as well, so that makes it even better.
We ride down past a chocolate museum and lots of barges. Some even have cars on them and small pools. It's like their homes.
After the ride we decide to walk up into the town to get morning tea and we discover a huge mall with so many shops.
We grab some food and go back later with the girls to get some food and just look in amazement.
Next stop is the cathedral. It is a must see in Cologne. Inside it is huge with ceiling so high and stone statues and columns. Amazing that it wasn't bombed in the war so is still original.
We also go past an archealogical dig which fascinates the girls. It is an old jewish house from 1200's.
We can see them working on it.
Just dinner and pack up to do now and then off to Frankfurt early tomorrow.

julie roberts what happened to day 26?
julie roberts Ian draged me to that chocolate museum and you know how much I hate chocolate (can't even stand the smell of it) so you can imagine how much fun I found that. But ian was ... well like a little boy in a chocolate shop. I only went because he had jusy endured the 4711 museum and shop.
Lyn Peters sounds like a lot of fun.
