ok so since i´ve last added an entry i´ve been very busy.
after the amazon i flew back to Cusco and spent a lovely relaxed day going around all the markets trying to barter for all the things.

in the morning we had a very early start as we had a 7 hour bus journey from cusco to pino. This was very very very boring but slept most the way as i was poorly. once we got to puno i had a guided tour around the city. I wasn´t expecting much as when we drove into the town we were surrounded by unfinished houses. but puno was a very lovely little town. in the eve tracy and i had a real chilled evening and just watched films in our hotel room and prepared for the next day.

In the morning we had a very early start again and caught Tuk Tuks down to puno harbour. Here we stopped off at the local markets as we had to buy stuff for the next few days. After shopping we boarded a boat which was a little bit rocky. I sat on it for about half an hour until we got to the island of urog!!! this was amazing. there are about 50 island made out of reeds (see the photo above). here we learnt about how the island were made and we were allowed to dress up in their traditional clothing!!! this was highly entertaining!!!! after spending bout 1 hour on the island we boarded aboat made out of reeds and sailign along the river for bout 30 mins. After this we headed back on the boat where i could sunbath for bout 3 hours!!!!!!!

After 3 hours we arrived at an island called Amaranti island. here we were greated by our mum or papa for the day. I had a papa!!!! he took us up to the house which was a rreal surprise as we had a toilet and bathroom (cold shower) and our own bedroom. (think the family was quite well off. in the afternoon we had lunch cooked for us on an open fire and then headed to watch tourist v locals football match. After this we went and watch the sunset on a mountain which over looked peru and bolivia.

in the eve we got dressed up on peruvian clothing and went to a peruvian party and danced all night. which was a challange when the alititude is 4000m above sea level!!!!

next day we headed to an other island where we got taught about the boys courting the girls. here they go to a festival and if they like a girl. they must throw a stone at them. if the girl replies that means she likes him. after the island we ahd a 3 hour boat ride where i worked on my tan again!!!! i am determined to come home with a tan.

next day we boarded another bus and travelled from puno to bolivia!!! i must say the buses in south america are crazy!!!! when we arrived in bolivia we went out to a rest and had a last supper as half the group finished the tour!!!!!! was very sad as had to say good bye to tracy!!!

This morning i got up and had a city tour aorund La paz. don´t really like what i´ve seen so far as to is very dirty and noisey. on the tour we went to the valley of the moon which was absolutely beautiful. tommorrow i am heading to teh witches market were i see dead cat and lama!!!!!
