Ok so i´m sorry i haven´t written for such a long time. Just have had little internet access so it makes it very hard.
Ok so since the last entry i have been a very busy bee. I left La Paz after collecting my passport on the day it was promised. I was sooooooo surprised as i did not think that south america would work as fast as it did. After a very stressful day of trying to sort out flights i headed to the airport to set off to Sucre!!!! you may think this was a walk in the park. However, i checked my bags in and was told that my flight to Sucre might not happen as the planbe is delayed. If it doesn´t turn up by 11 i would not be going. I was almost in tears as i just needed to get out of La Paz. (ended up really liking La Paz). There was a really nice Bolivian man who saw i was upset and so spent alot of time checking i was ok. One thing i would say that most the bolivian people i have come in contact with have been very friendly and very kind. Although i had my passport stolen it is a nice place to be.
Eventually the plane turned up and i could be on my way to sucre!!!!!!!! Sucre was a very beautiful little town I feel in love with it and felt very safe in it (altough it was the capitial of Boliovia) Sucre means Sugar so it was full of choclate shops. I felt like i was in heaven and ate way too much chocolate over three days i was there. Just so how happened to find myself in the chocolate shop most days. I finally met my group and it was a real relief the see familiar faces again and feel safe. To celebrate i getting my passport back i spent most the day in the pub (having one or 2 drinkies!!!!!) I also bumped into the two people i met on the inca trail so that was really nice to see them. The day after my return (sat morning) i did not feel too good, so Harnia and i went for a pedicure and a very chilled and lovely day. (Decide my new profession should be a lady of leisure), then spent the rest of the day watching films!!!!!!!!
Final day in sucre was an early start as a few girls and i headed to the biggest market in south america. I was massive and so much fun. Loads of stalls down the streets of this small town. i was really nice to see how Bolivian people really live their lives. However, I Managed to not buy anything. (cause i couln´t fit it in my case!!!!!) In the afternoon the group and i headed off to the airport to fly to Santa Cruise.
Santa cruise was a quick stop over. we arrived there at 6pm and left at 8am. I didn´t even see the town as i heard to wasn´t safe so chose to stay in the hotel. use the gym go for a swim and watch films!!!!!
We left Santa Cruise in the morning and crossed the boarder of Brazil. We stayed in a little boarder town which had very little. Spent most the day sunbathing by the pool and working on the tan. In the evening the group headed down to the river and watched the sunset and had a little bbq!!! Quite liked this town, however, the mosiquotes decided to take a little liking to me that night!!!!!!!!!!!
The next morning (Monday 30th March), we had a private taxi that collected us from the hotel to take us to the pantanal!!!! this is the biggest wetland of brazil (half the size of France). As its wetlands we had to prepared for Mosquitos!!!!!! so after deeting up we arrived at the pantanal. it was amazing (just like the amazon), and we were surrounded by wildlife, everywhere we looked were loads of different types of birds!!!!As i walked down to my room i was a crocodile coming out of the river and just sitting on the bank (my room over looked the river)!!! Once we had had a chance to settle into the room, we went for a boat trip along the river and saw loads of different types of birds which in cluded tucan´s, parrots, stolks. Half way along the trip we were able to go for a swim in the river, which was so refreshing and loads of fun. After a while we set off again and went bird watching again. After a while we saw the sunset which was lovely. i love a good sunset, so decided to head back to the accommadtion. However, as we went past the place we went swimming in we saw 3 crocodiles!!!!!!!!!!
The next day was an early start as we had an hour drive to a south american farm. Here we would spend the day doing a few event. We went on a 4by4 truck and saw giant otters, Rakoons, Wild pigs, Tucans and crocodiles. We wlso went horse riding, which became very nervous about as i had never riddeen a horse, and ended up screaming most the time as i couldn´t control the horse. It was such a laugh and really enjoyed it. We also went for a walk and got eaten alive by mosquitos. In the eve i watched Brazil V Peru with a few Brazilians which was so much fun!!!
In the Morning, again we had an early start!!!! as we went Parhana fishing. Everyone caught a parhana however, i caught a catfish!!!! Typical of me i always like to be different. After the fishing event we were able to eat them and i must say they were very very very tasty but very boney!!! After fishing we headed off to Bonito and said good bye to the mosiquitos!!!!! After 4 hours in a taxi we arrived in Bonito.
Bonito was lovely. very beautiful and cute little town There wasn´t much here but had great pubs and little shops. The first night we were there we went out for a few drinks and i bumped into hannah and james (who were on the inca trail), so ended up staying out andf drinking one too many drinks (as think was going to be the last time i would see them). The next day (friday) a few of the group and i went snokeling. Bonito is very famous for its beauty and clear water snokelling. so i spend a whole day snokeling down this crystal clear river. I must say it was beautiful!!!!!
The final day in Bonito, my group and i headed to a local park but did a supermarket sweep before heading there. This was because we were having a day of rest and BBQ. it was lovely just to chill out and do a little bit of sunbathing!!!! Here we played football, volleyball and swam down a river full of fish. This river even had those fish that nibble at your feet so i had a natural pedicure.
The next day i was sad to say goodbye to Bonito, as i really liked it, but we had to move on the Ponta pora. here it was very strange town as nothing was open. I spent a whole day chilling by the pool. but felt like a cage animal as the pool wasn´t outside!!!!!!!! But the hotel had agym so i was pretty happy having a serious workout. After spending a wole day in Ponta pora, again the group had a supermarket sweep as we were about to hit a 7hour bus to enter Paraguary. which is where i am now!!!!! Paaguary has surprised me as its meant to be the 2nd poorest country in south america. Today i spent to day shopping and sunbathing in Asuncion. Its nice place but really not too much to do.
Anyway, i have less then two weeks till i´m home. and so much to see before i leave.
I must say i love brazil, as i t has a really nice feel to it and its hot and sunny!!!!!
take care
