Suzanne and Simon's Travels
We have been very busy during the last week. We have travelled from Melbourne to Adelaide then flew to Darwin on Thursday.
After our stay at Port Fairy we continiued along the Great Ocean Road. Our first stop was a walk throgh a rainforest. We then went to a dormant volcano. It was quite a climb but amazing when we got to the top. Very peaceful and the views were fantastic. The whole area is flat apart from the huge volcano.
That evening we stayed in the nicest hostel i have ever seen, it even had a library with leather chairs and an open fire. In the evening our whole tour group went out for dinner and for a drink to celebrate my birthday.
The following day we went to see some granite rocks and a deserted beach which went for miles with not a person in sight.
After that we went to an Aborigional education centre where a Aborigional man took us on a bush walk and gave us bush tucker. Apparently old mans beard is good for arthiritus and tastes hot when you chew it for a while. We tried some! We also tried othe native plants and had a lunch of kangaroo balls and mullett.
After some sad goodbyes we were in Adelaide at a really awful hostel where other guests partied all night so we couldn't sleep.
The following day we went to Barrossa Valley wine region for some free tasting. WE will update you on the asap.
