Today we woke up to a beautiful day in Port Douglas sunny skies little or no wind. A cooked breakfast on deck was a good way to start off the day. We spoilt ourselves with long showers before we start water rationing with 1 minute showers.
After doing our last minute shopping, mine was for anti malarial medication and protection against scurvy - (a bottle of gin, tonic water and limes with a carton of beer and another of cyder for good measure) We prepared the boat to set sail for Low Isles perfect weather for the crossing started with about 15 knots building to 25 knots by the time we arrived. Now we are at anchor with the Webber cranked doing marinated ribs. We will spend a couple of hours here before setting sail for an overnight sail to Lizard Island.
