Six Months Baby
Hello again how you all doing, to start off with i have a bone to pick with you all, We want more messages on the board of news from home, only joking. (please we are missing you all)
Anyway, we left Cairns for Mission Beach on our first leg of the OZ Bus and to be honest it was pretty tame, to what we expected, i think everyone was hungover, faredo's. We arrived in Mission Beach on Easter Friday and it was raining as we guest, so the place in total was dead and i mean dead, no bars were open at all and all the shops were shutting. As you can guess we did not stay for long actually the next morning back on the OZ bus to Airlie Beach. On the way we stopped off at beautiful waterfall (it was huge). We arrived in Airlie beach that night and again as it was Easter weekend the place was packed and the weather had change to what we thought OZ land was about SUNSHINE. Due to it being a holiday place, most of the hostels were pretty booked, however we found a place which surplied free breakfast (cool). We also found it hard to book a boat tour around the Whitsunday Island but we eventually found a boat which would take us called the New Horizon, with another 30 odd people for 2 nights and 2 days.
We spent the rest of the time prowling the bars for the football and a beverage of course! and sit by the lagoon which was everyones elses ideas too. Sadly though the rain kept coming back.
Time for the boat. We docked at about 4pm and set off to the Whitsunday passage, where we would spend the night. That night we all sat on deck with a few beers, a steak dinner, and lovely U.S. girls to chat to under the stars, doesn't sound too bad a night does it. We miss you all so much. The next day we went to Whitehaven Bay which was amazing, a beautiful view overlooking the bay. Then we had a swim in the lovely jellyfish infested waters, dont worry mums we were wearing stinger suits, we looked like something out of the SAS, well funny. After that little adventure, we moved up to Hyman Island north of the islands and went diving on Blue Pearl bay along a lovely coral reef and saw loads of fish and we saw a huge clam and i mean huge. Sadly we were told to look out for a fish called Elvis, which was meant to be massive but we missed him. That night was spent like the last however eating roast beef and spuds not bad again.
The next morning we again we went to the coral beach and did a bit of snokeling and we all found Elvis he was huge! and i also got attacked by load of friendly fish as our captain throw loads of bread my way and the fish went mad.
After our little snokel we sadly had to head home, i think we were pretty sad about leaving the boat and the rest of the group who were all pretty cool guys.
However we did meet up with the boat that night and got rather drunk and i ended up having a lovely meat pie. Which really brings a close to Airlie Beach, off to Dingo!
the story will continue soon!
