Six Months Baby
Hello to another adventure of the Travels of Matt, Dan and Stu.
We arrived in Brisbane on ANZAC day which stands for Australia, New Zealand Army Cor and it is there kind of rememberance day. They had a huge parade through the main street with all the local army, navy, RAAF ex and troop marching along, with thousands of people cheering them on which was really nice to see. That lasted most of the day so moving around the town was not easy so we spent most of the day in our hostel. The first night was sadly spent watching chlesea lose to Newcastle and Arsenal winning the league great fun. The next night was spent in the Down under bar under our hostel which was all right however we did get rather drunk chatting to our new room mates.
However the next day was very eventful, we decided to go to a tour around the Castlemaine XXXX brewery and what a experience this was. To get there we had go on a small journey on the Brisbane express to a place called Milton not far. As we decided we were not going to start drinking till later on tonight we brought the cheaper ticket without the beer testing at the end. The tour was well good and we learnt some interesting fact about alcohol and the company you would of loved it marrel. This is for the alcohol loves out there, we got to see the whole process from making to packaging and there was alot of XXXX beer it was making us drunk just looking at it. By this time we were all rather gaging for a beer and would you believe it, there was an on site bar, with us three sitting there with our glasses of coke whilst everyone else was drinking damn!! However there were these chinese girls on the tour who offered us there tickets, what luck there was three of them and three of us, our dreams were made, free alcohol. So with their kindness we had to have a drink and another and afew hours later we were chatting to these northern lads, a canadain, an american and a bloke from the south and we ended up staying there for quite awhile drinking free beer on XXXX tab, quality!! We did however buy XXXX t-shirts which were cool. Once we had to leave as they were closing we told our new found friends to meet up with us that night at our room to have some drinking games and then go out, which they did. Also next to the brewery was the Suncorp stadium home to the Brisbane Broncos and where England played Wales in the Rugby World Cup, it was pretty nice stadium from the out side. Once we got back we had also had afew blokes Dan had met who he knew from school, they also were coming round plus our rooms mates, we had a party going on. Once everyone had arrived the drinking games got flowing and we carried on from where we started. We then made our way down to the Down Under bar below and we carried on partying. We had one little more surprise left, we bumped into two good blokes we met in Koh Phang nagn Ja and Dips which was well weird to see them in Brisbane so we partied with them as well, what night i here you all saying (and day), and yes we all didnt get that drunk?!
Well that ended our short lived stay in Brisbane but it had been a good one.
