Stuey's Travel
Pretty simple plot today, no bike...just walking. I wanted to check out the market in the middle of town and do a little shopping to stock up for the week ahead...ie. booze (beer and red), cheese, charcuterie.
Weather looks promising, mainly sunny.
Lets see!
Woke this morning early again, weather looked good 26 degrees. No riding today, resting up for the big ride day on Monday. So down to the market this morning, have a browse and buy some good local produce for lunch and dinner tonight.
Time to do a bit of pressie shopping whilst I have the chance. I have spotted a few nice things in a few shop windows as I scouted the town on Wed & Thurs. Well the market was definitely an interesting visit. Lots of stalls out in the car park plus a section under cover about 1/4 of the size of the Central Market in Adelaide....similar set up though. I latched on to some fantastic fresh Beaufort cheese, some great smelling pepper salami plus a couple of sensational looking croissants. I also ran into a guy trying to flog some Savoie wine, made locally. I tried his white and the 2 reds, pleasant but not to my taste somI thanks him and motored on.
A typical Stuey French lunch today - fresh artisanal baguette, jambon, fromage, saucisson sec and a glass of good red. Desert is a couple of madeleines of course. Similar story for dinner tonight after "pushing the boat out" at Atmospheres on Thursday and Comptoir last night. Plenty of cheese, salami, fruit all washed down with a bottle of pretty good red.
