We spent the morning with Dan and managed to get haircuts and some shopping done. We grabbed a bite to eat and headed for the park as the sun was shining. There were so many newly hitched couples having their photos taken - the outfits were amazing....the women went for frills whilst the groom looked like something out of a fairytale - lots of sparkle! The park was really nice and a welcome retreat for many amongst the towering skyscrapers. Unlike the central park there were no stones to walk over - which we were told was good for the body - but it bloomin' hurt your feet! We took the Star Ferry over to Kowloon and walked along the promenade which had its very own avenue of stars. We recognised a few - Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan - but obviously others meant absolutely nothing to us! We saw New Year in with Emma and Dan's friends at their house - a great view over Hong Kong although for some reason the Chinese set the fireworks off at 8pm so we completely missed that! Far too much of the boozy juice was drunk but we had a great night out in town as you can see from the pictures. Happy New Year and bring on 2006!
