You can't go to Thailand and not go to a full moon party so we're now on Koh Pangan!!!
We were a little apprehensive of this island as we'd heard some bad things but i'm so pleased to say that it was brilliant!!!
The beach wasn't littered with broken glass, naked couples and johnies, it was huge with clear sea, white sand and friendly people.
We stayed on Haad Rin Nai which is about ten minutes from the main full moon beach.
The night of the full moon was excellent we met us with Emily and Julian who we met in Saigon, we all painted our faces in flurescent paint and danced the night away with frozen cocktails in hand, we didn't see the sunrise as we were all partied out but we did make it to about half five so not far short.
We awoke that afternoon with no hangover and feeling good which was another surprise! We rented a jeep and went to see Emily and Julian who were staying the north of the island at Haad Yao, the beach here was also beautiful with restaurants looking out over the sea. We had dinner with them and returned the next day for brekkie and a swim in the infinity pool. We said good bye to Emily and Julian who were off to Bangkok and soon to be flying to Incredible India!!
On the way back to Had Rin Nai we stopped off at a proper English pub with pub grub and pint glasses which was a really welcome treat after 6 months away from all things Blighty.
