Before we got to Brisbane we went to Steve Irwin's zoo, which was brilliant, I Love all things to do with animals and this really didn't let down. Because it's slightly out of season there wasn't a lot of people here which was nice, we saw the huge tortoises being feed, went to the crocoseum for the daily show about all the different animals kept there, it was nice and sunny too which made it a really good day. The weather is getting a bit rainy and colder now, boo!!! We're at Hervey Bay which is where you go for Fraser Island. It's been decided due to shortage of funds that we're going to leave doing most Easy coast things until we can fully afford them and also enjoy them as it's not the best weather at the moment. Hopefully when we do come back we'll have a proper 4WD and will be able to take it over to Fraser and camp for the night, should be good.

Before we actually get to Townsville we have to come to the rescue of our mates Luke and Hayley. They were going down an unsealed road and rolled their 4WD, we were lucky to actually have signal when they called to let us know. They were both ok but the car wasn't they were stuck in the back of beyond and needed us to come get them, only prob was we were over1000km from them. We drove pretty much all the daylight hours we could to get to them, which took about 24...

We decided to drive to Katherine and make our minds up there as it's North for Darwin or South for the East coast. It took us a few days to get to Katherine huge amount of driving constant from 8am until 5/6pm. We had another blow and the clutch went in our van, wicked we're in the middle of nowhere and no clutch. Broome is the so called back packer hub and what seems to me to be the largest town/city we've been to since leaving Perth. It's full of campervans and hippie types. Cable beach at Broome is nice really wide and stretches for ages, camels wander up and down (surreal) we enjoyed the beach and also the appearance of shops again and a bit more life!!
