We left Kununurra and headed west to the infamous Gibb River Road. This is a dirt road about 700klms long which has deep corregations and rocks the size of rock melons. The first 100klms is nice smooth bitumen road, then we have 16klms of gravel into El Questro Station with 2 water crossings for added excitement. We decided to do an overnight stop at Edith Falls on our way to Lake Argyle. We had heard that these are one of the best waterfalls in the country, and they were spectacular. Again they would be awesome in the wet season. They are about 70 klms from Katherine in the NT.
