It is Saturday night in Broome and we have just got back from the Divers Tavern across the road where we watched Australia play Wales in rugby. I can't reveal who won as Ian has taped the match to watch when he returns home from a camping trip in Norwich. This is our second night at the Tavern because although we had decided not to watch any more Origin games the lure was too strong so we watched NSW even this years series.
We have explored Broome and have both enjoyed our time here. There is a vibrant and modern feel to the town. The contrasting colours of the red dirt, blue sea and green grass is the same in reality as it is in pictures and photos, it is fantastic. It has whet our appetite for more of these landscapes on our trip up to Cape Leveque next week. The weather has been great with temperatures around 30 each day and yesterday we spent the morning on Cable Beach. We leave here on Monday,so we have another full day of sightseeing tomorrow.
