Hey Everyone!

So we are now on our last night in Brisbane so thought i best update with what has been happening since we left the boys in Byron Bay.

Day 1

We got the Greyhound on the 11th, after a 1.5hour coach journey we arrived in Surfer's Paradise. We headed straight for the hostel, it looked ok but not the best! As this was our first stay on a proper hostel we were abit worried!! So we checked in and went up to our dorm it was sharing with eight other people, when we got in there ther was guy in there a sleep and then two Danish girls arrived, they said that it was ok there but there was one really weird guy from New Zeland who spoke to himself all the time! Ok so at this pint we were a little worried! After making out beds up, yes Margerat Claire made her own bed! We headed in to the town. After walking for about 15mins we were really disapointed to what we had come to, there were no shops and hardly any bars!! And then we saw people with shopping bags so we decided to follow them!! We then found the town and all was well again, so we did some shopping and Loz spotted a Hard Rock Cafe so decided that we would go for dinner there!! Diet starts tomrrow, thats what we all said!! After finishing shopping we then headed back to hostel to get changed, Loz was well excited about eating there, it was her favorite place!! After a huge meal and dessert that was lovely we went back to the hostel for an early night. After being on the beer for four days and nights, our bodies needed a rest!! We got back and the strange man was there, he was weird he just kept mumbling to himself, at this point Claire thought he was going to kill us all in our sleep. During that night i woke up and saw the man walking past by bed, i was well scared!! It was fine though he just went out for a fag!

Day 2

We tried to have a lie in but everyone was really noisey so we got up early and headed off to the beach as the sun was finally shining! We had to take advantage! After a couple of hours sunbathing we went the arcades, me and Claire were big kids, loz thought she had two children!! We went on loads, deal or no deal, dodgems, football, everything there was (well me and Claire did anyway!!) it was also all the ticket machines so we won a tourch, pen and claire got a tacky bracelet!! That night we decided ot have a night in chilling watching the tv so me and loz headed to Subway and had a salad for dinner while Claire cooked JP! We had just settled down to watch a film and they turned it off, apparently music had to go on at 7.30pm, everyone was gutted!!

Day 3

We arrived in Brisbane after a 1.5hour bus drive to our hostel caleed TinBilly's. This hosel is really good, its really clean and has a big tv room and loads of computers. Were in a dorm of 7 all girls so its really good, no weird people this time!! hehe! After dumping our bags we headed off to town and brought a few things and then stopped off at a pub called the Pig and Whistle (English Bar) and had a couple of beers while watching the football! After this pub we went to O'Malleys an Irish bar for food, the food was really nice best lamb i've had. We then went back to hostel and got changed ready to meet Jo and Chuckie at our oub downstairs....a kind of reunion form Sydney!! We played our new Ring of Fire rules but we werent up for drinking so it was an earlish night for us, well 11.30pm!!

Day 4

So we woke up today and it was pouring down with rain AGAIN! So to make ourselves feel better me and Claire went for a full English Breakfast across the road form our hostel (we left Loz in bed as she wasnt feeling great as she had swollen glands), it was really nice, me and Claire were in heaven!! After breakfast we decided it was a good idea to book Tennis as we had been wanting to play since Bangkok and it was ideal as the weather was rubbish! We also wanted to do some form of exercise, we were all feeling horriible!! 2 O'clock came round and the rain had stopped so we headed of to the courts, bu the time we got there the sun was shining, typical!! So me and Claire started a game, as you know we are both really competitve, and i might add quite good at Tennis, so it was a good game!! As we were playing it was getting hotter and hotter, at least we were sweating of those extra pounds we have put on!! I won 5-2 in the end...... :-) which was good!! After the game we had a knock around with Loz. After and hour we went back to the office and asked if we could get a refund on the other hour we had booked as it was far to hot!! They were 'like yeah fine we thought you were a bit mad it is like 29degrees!!' We couldn't believe it!!

After Tennis we headed back to the hostel and Claire made me order steak with her....(we were meant to be dieting) and we watched Good Luck Chuck with the guys (and everyone else in the hostel!) and then went to bed!! I no were being lightweight on the drinking front but our bodies need a rest!!

Day 5

So today we had booked to go to Austalia Zoo - Steve Irwins. It was an early wake up call, 7.30am! When we were ready we headed off to the bus station across the road and the heavens opened, we couldn't believe our bad luck we were having with the weather!! We arrived at the park at 10.30am, it was really good. We first went to the CrocMuseam to watch snakes, birds and the Croc Show, which was done by Terri Irwin. It was really good that she was doing it, must be really hard for her though. The crocs were awesome, was good to watch!! After the crocs we went for luch and met Laura (a girl from our hosel) and then walked around looking at all the animals! The Kanagroos were my favourite.

Its now 7.10pm and were all writing blogs and watching Eastenders on youcube inbetween, we had to see what happened between Stacy and Maz. Sad i know but what can i say!! Tonight were just gonna have cereal for dinner and then watch Along Came Polly downstairs as we have a 12hour Bus Journey tomorrow to Harvey Bay. Really looking forward to going there, we just need the weather to pic up and we will be sorted!! I feel white again!!
