no, no, no, NO, NO, NO, I've changed my MAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!!!!!!, you BastAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRD!!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRGH!!!!!!!!!!!!! HOLD ON TO ME!!!!! - Was pretty much what I was saying as I jumped out of the plane to do my sky dive! I've lost track of what day it is now but I was supposed to do the jump on - say Monday, then it was canceled until the following day which gave me one more night to worry about it. So after a night of cold sweats and s***ting every five minutes I arrived at reception at the said time to be told that the weather wasn't too good and we would have to wait until 4pm - which gave me another day to really think about what I was doing - throwing myself out of a plane at 10,000 feet! Stupid idiot! Anyway, slowly but surely the clock moved its hands round to 4 o'clock and we (me and another girl from the tour) were driven to the airport.
When we arrived we had to wait about half an hour for the tandem masters to arrive - when they did, we had our briefing and our jump suit fitting and then we got in the plane with another drunken pilot and flew over the Namibian desert and the Atlantic above the clouds until we reached 10,000 feet. The views out of the plane were gorgeous! They really were. To see the desert like that - the sand dunes right next to the ocean and the shanty towns too. Then we flew through the blanket of cloud and the sun was getting ready to set and so was almost sat on the surface of the clouds - it really did look good - hopefully you'll be able to see it on the photos. So anyway, here's me looking out of the windows at the clouds and the plane just shifted, I thought what the bloody hell was that - the girl I was with and her tandem guy and cameraman had jumped - just like that!
So it was our turn to shuffle over on our knees over to the great big hole in the plane. I can't tell you what I was feeling at this point - I just went in to auto pilot, but the DVD is hilarious - you can really see the terror and absolute fear in my eyes! Anyway to cut a long story short - I jumped and it was the weirdest most terrorfying, s*** scary exciting, amazing thing I think I've ever done! That said, I don't know if I'd do it again though! When he pulled the parachute open I felt as though I was going back up int t' plane - I grabbed the guys arms and screamed like a little girl "hold on to me" - d*** head! But when we got back down we laughed about it - It was really good and I felt so relieved to be back down. So - That was me jumping out of a plane over the Namibian desert!
