Stephen and Jo Planet Earth...
After slightly overspending our budget last month (due to Scuba Diving and a visa run to Singapore) we decided to curb our "jet set" lifestyle and try hostelling while we are in Malaysia. Our hostel room reminds me of when i was at university, with the added bonus of a toilet and shower, but it's clean, quiet and cheap so who's complaining. 1st stop was the National Museum and Planetarium quite an interesting morning, in the afternoon we headed for the Lake Gardens. Jo Dolittle wanted to talk to the animals so we visited the "Bird Park" and the "Butterfly Park" strangely enough her favourite animals in the Butterfly Park were ........ yes you guessed it the FROGS in the pond, strange girl !!! We decided to go to the Petronas Towers the following morning, what a feat of modern engineering - it is the tallest building in the world at 452m but not the tallest tower which ins the CN Tower in Toronto which is strange as it has tower in its name youexplain that!!! We got the free tickets to go on the Sky Bridge which joins the 2 towers together, the views were excellent bearing in mind we were only 148m high a third of the way up. Next stop the Cameron Highlands only 5 hours by bus - damm that overspending !!
