Day 51 - Wednesday 21st April
We arrived early doors at 4am for a casual couple of days in Cusco before trying to get on the inevitable trek to Machu Picchu. Luckily to make the days pass a little easier (travelling is tough) we found Olivers' Travels' successor - The Real McCoys, with meals counterable to Olivers. After possibly the biggest full English of my life (didn't pay the extra 4 neuvo soles for imported baked beans) I managed to pick up my Peruvian football shirt before heading out to book a trek. $170 and a jungle tour booked later we set off to explore the cobbled streets and hills of Cusco, with a jug of Sangria on the way.
For the evening I impressed with my darts and pool, ahem, skills before pizza and a trip to 'Mushroom Bar' por muchos muchos Pisco Sours...
Day 52 - Thursday 22nd April
After a healthy lie-in and an even healthier 'healthy option' at McCoys (consisting of a large bowl of porridge, even larger bowl of mixed fruit, toast, two bowls of cereal, coffee and juice) we had another lazy day. Watched Liverpool vs Athletico, played poker in the hostel having found Ross again, picked up Lloyd and had a final meal with everyone from the jungle reunited like Jordan and Peter. One of the best Thai Green Curries I'd ever had...
A couple of drinks and games of pool back at Rich and Lloyds hostel later we found someone asleep in our dorm at 10pm. Given such disgraceful behaviour we had to turn the light on to pack...
