Steph and Stevens travels!
Hello to those who still bother to read these!
Tuesday was another exciting jam-packed day! It was ANZAC day here so nowhere was open apart from cafe's. So firstly that meant we had no food to cook ourselves, so we had to eat out all day. Secondly it was chucking it down so we got wet walking to eat. So we decided it was too dangerous outside and we made full use of our t.v in our room and only ventured out into the elements so we could eat!
Today was great because the weather is lovely. We got onto our kiwi bus at 8am to travel here (kaikoura). We got a good deal on a double room, dorm price! And it is in its own house with kitchen and bathroom facilities. After this excitment we went whale watching, which was awesome! We saw around 10 sperm whales, about 5 of which were really close to the boat and stayed afloat for around 10 minutes each. We saw them using there blow holes and diving under showing us their massive tails! The water was so rough and the boat was fast which created alot of bouncing and big splashes. We are off back to our house to eat and then we will just relax until bedtime. Not alot of nightlife here unfortunately! We travel to Wellington tomorrow morning - its getting closer to the skydive :)
