We had a bit of a lazy morning yesterday and then set off in the car towards golden bay and abel tasman at half10 ish. We drove around 3hours up the windiest mountains again and eventually hit golden bay. it runs for miles so we decided to go to one of the beaches, just to say we had. There was no-one on the beach and there was no surf. like our little own private beach! We then headed back and called in at abel tasman on the way. again, it is a massive area, this time of national park and we couldnt be bothered to go exploring it properly so we called in at another beach. this one was busier but still with no surf (the photo attached is of one of the beaches at abel tasman). there were bits to do, with a water taxi available, kayaks available and boats to hire. needless to say i watched from the dry sand! we then headed back to nelson and decided to call in at the beach. as it had done with the 2 other beaches, the sun went in just as we got there and wouldnt u no it, after we left it came out again! We then did some shopping and i made us a big beef salad with a french stick before having a few beers and a monopoly rematch. toni won this time, i hate that game. i did win at snakes and ladders tho!!
