We had a sleep in until about 9am, when Rory awoke. It was another beautiful, not-a-cloud-in-the-sky day. We had another boiled egg each as well as the croissant with the same plum and nectarine jam (we will be getting different jam for tomorrow after getting through this after only two days).
However, today we would do something. We went out to Collias and canoed eight kilometres down the River Gardon and under the Pont du Gard. It was a fair bit better than our other canoeing adventure. The weather was absolutely amazing, as was the bridge. In the floods of 2002 in the region, it was the only bridge left standing, despite it being the oldest. I guess it just shows you how smart the Romans were. We were then picked up by a van at the end and taken back to the starting point, before driving to where the Romans started the water supply (aqueduct) to Nimes, otherwise known as Valle d'Eure. It was also very beautiful.
We then came back to the Mas de las Bousquette and relaxed for a bit, had a snack before a homemade dinner made by Mum, probably the first since Sydney.
