Today was a lovely sunny day and was also Adelaide Cup day so a lot of things were closed. As a result we walked through a very closed town but we were able to get smoothies for us and an ice cream for the girls. The walk to the zoo was very pleasant and we saw a little of the city. A disturbed nights sleep but then we are not used to doors that don't lock and creaky houses. Anyway up with the alarm and found the sky was blue and the sun was shining. We had breakfast, packed up and hit the beach. The girls had a fab time making sand cities, cheese factories and sandcastles, actually in Elizabeth's case she enjoyed knocking the castles over. Elizabeth then developed a routine for making castles which involved adding superpower on the top....

Elizabeth was in bed and hugging me from the early hours, at least from 4:33am. When it was finally time to get up I sent Eizabeth to find out what the weather was doing and the report was that the sun was hiding behind the clouds. The net result was a pretty grumpy Mummy, mind you I think Alex would test the patience of a saint at the moment. Breakfast was a big treat as it was part of the room rate so we had a cooked one.
