Today was a lovely sunny day and was also Adelaide Cup day so a lot of things were closed. As a result we walked through a very closed town but we were able to get smoothies for us and an ice cream for the girls. The walk to the zoo was very pleasant and we saw a little of the city. The hotel is not in the nicest of areas judging by the number of adult entertainment venues nearby.

We spent quite a few hours at the zoo which although small was well designed and took some time to go around because of the heat, 30C. The childrens zoo had a nice petting area and we bought food but the girls were completely freaked out by the eagerness of the animals to be at the food.

We walked back along the river which was a nice walk but it was made more difficult by another flat on the pushchair. I am not sure what the random fountain like things are in the river, they look more like outlet pipes than anything else.
