It's been a while since I last updated this blog, probably because I haven't been doing as much in the past 2 weeks. I was meant to go to Ayutthaya, but as there is a flooding crises in Thailand at the moment, all trains have been cancelled for 2 months!!! Ayutthaya is completely flooded but there were still bus trips back to Bangkok. However, I felt it was necessary that I was to stay up north ad catch a mini bus to Pai for a couple of days. This meant a premature goodbye to Luci and Sean, as they needed to get to Bangkok to fly home. Pai was an interesting place, a small village in the middle of nowhere, built for the traveller as there are some gorgeous waterfalls treks and canyons nearby! I also saw a world war 2 bridge which brought up a few emotions. I bumped into Sam, Gav, Bev, Tara and Manu who I previously met in different places, so a little reunion! I decided to call it quits early and head back to Chiang Mai to have a second stint at spicythai backpackers. This time I felt truely by myself but I met some really nice people. We chilled for a few days which included having a game of football with the locals, bowling with the other hostel buddies and the general socialising. As I write this, I am now waiting for the minibus from the Stray tour of Laos which will last for 12 long days. It promises to be action packed for sure!
