We left Laos and went to Ubon Ratchathani where we would catch the overnight train to Bangkok. The flooding situation was horrific here, entire neighbourhoods were wiped out and people had camped by the highway to earn a stay of survival, using metal sheets as shelter. My stay in Bangkok was short, opting for the first flight out to Krabi, with the threat of flooding becoming very real in the capital. After our quite epic trip of the kong lor caves, we moved onto the city of Pakse. Due to various roads being... Well not roads anymore we had to stay for 2 nights.
