Hi there.
You guys are going in the oppsite direction to us.
Read that you are thinking of skipping Kafue. If you mean the South, definietly skip it.
We went thru' and it was a waste. The animals have been chased due to the poaching and hunting, which is uncontrolled. There is also no camping at all (although they will charge you it).
The only good thing about Kafue South was the lake, which you can reach from outside the park anyway.
We are in Lusaka, but leaving now for Kafue North and then on to Luangwa.
We spent a week in Mana Pools in Zimbabwe - very much worth the detour.
Happy travels.
Karen

Hey guys!!
Looks like the trip has gone really well....Vick and I have been tracking progress! Rugby World Cup results looking bad for England (lets not talk about the SA game) although Namibia played really well. Good luck in the final stage.
Best regards
