As some of you already know, on Tuesday we heard our ferry company had cancelled all their sailings on our route (Portsmouth to Bilbao) from end of Jan to end of April See explanation below...

Dear Customer

Due to operational reasons, we regret to inform you that Acciona Trasmediterranea will be temporarily suspending the service between Portsmouth and Bilbao, from the 25th January to 27th April 2007 (inclusive), at which point the service will be resumed.

All customers will be offered a full refund if they wish to cancel, or a free amendment to a later date.Please advise us how you wish to proceed by calling us on 0870 066 5446 or replying to this email.

Please note that we are expecting a high volume of calls and emails, so whilst we will endeavor to deal with your response as quickly as possible, there may be some delays.

We had to book with another company (P&O) and now leave UK at 9pm on Sunday 4th Feb. So we are now in London for another 4 days.

Good news is we now get to see Dave & Sarah before we go as they are flying back in on Sunday morning after some months in South Africa.

Also thanks to all for the offers of places to stay but we will be at the Pirrie's place while Andrew is away skiing. This will give us a bit more room to fine tune and pack the Land Rover.

Potential farewell flag waving pub lunch in London on Sunday 4th before we go - keep you informed....

For the time being if you are following our itinerary assume we wil be 4 days behind schedule untill further notice - we will let you know how we get on!
