All your messages really give us a huge boost and happiness to know what u guys are up to, and that u all are enjoying our website! We try to post up diaries as often as possible to please u all, but believe it, it does feel a bit like a homework for us (Bree wasnt looking forward to write up today, but shes very glad now that she has just done it now!) BUT all ur messages are great rewards to our diaries homeworks! Am going to try to reply here to some of ur messages (Ive got all day here, as were waiting for Anthony to get here from Quito (Ants mum, dont fret, he is a true capable traveller now, and I assure u he will find his own way here to meet us without much problem ?)
Rascal no 1, (for those who dont know who it is, its my dearest favourite sister Kate!) (Kate, dont flatter urself, I had to say my favourite, cos I only have one sister!) I was beginning to wonder that u wouldnt reply to my longest email of the year as an act of revenge cos I havent been in touch for a long time! THANK YOU so much for the detailed message abt Bolivia! We definitely will follow up ur footsteps there! But, actually, we would like to know what u think (or whoever that have been to South America) of which amazon jungle we should take up, either in Ecuador, Peru or Bolivia? We have been asking around in Quito for that information, but, as predicted, they were much biased, saying we should take up the Ecuadorians Amazon River, that it is the best, blah blah Kate, am glad to know all is well in Gaza, u really seem to be in love with that place (I presume its cos u met an handsome Arabian guy there? ? although, do make sure, with a contract, with that guy that u would be his only wife!!)
My dearest oldest bruv, Jimbo! how does ur new garden look like now? and how are ur plans abt moving to Prague going on? Hope it isnt affecting Joshie, moving around every year! (Im sure hes ok with that as every burton has got the traveling bug, eh!)
TOBY and mama!!! U know what Im gonna say here!!!! WHERE IS UR MESSAGES??! Am deeply hurt!! All the member of my family, including Uncle Peter, has posted up a msg here!! U two, of all people, hmmmmmmm!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gillian, Ants aunt, yes I made sure Ant paid me the 50 thousands pesos straight away after noticing the damage I had done on my leg! I made great use of that 50,000 pesos with Colombian Cerveza beers that night!
Kathy, Ants mum and all ur girlies family members that are in Marbella, sorry, my parents have gone back to Brussels maybe some other time enjoy the Marbella sun while we are freezing in the high altitudes in Latacunga!
Seeta Manjeshewar! U re right, me and Anthony COULDNT believe what u said and had to read it all over again and again to make sure we understood wot u wrote! You, actually admitting, being envy of us??! Not possible!! (I bet when we get back to UK, u re gonna say I only said that to make u feel happy or whatever bulls***!! ?
For those who are worried we might not be able to post up any more piccies cos of the loss of the charger for my camera, dont fret! After a week or so searching at every single digital shops, and asking my brothers and my father to buy one and post it over, we finally found one, in a very small, crap looking shop in Quito!!!! i was sooooo happy that day, and got soooo excited to see the green light of my battery being fully charged up!! We will post piccies of Ecuador when we cross the border to Peru, in no more than a week
Enough for now, going to the meeting point that I and Ant agreed yesterday, to meet Ant (honestly hope he gonna turn up, otherwise I shall join in the worried club!
Take care u all, xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Gosh------I had not looked at the pictures before writing to you the other day---just looked now and they are fab! Not what I had expected---actually, did not know WHAT to expect!
You all seem to be having a fantastic time. interested to know if Anthony had paid his bet over to you, Em. I sincerely hope so!
Have just left Robbie off to the tram in Altrincham for HIS epic journey today (not as adventurous as you lot) as he starts his summer placement in manchester this morning so whilst you are all chilling out he is off in his sut and new starched shirt and tie looking every inch the successful lawyer. the children came back from camp shattered---NO sleep the first night and only a few hours the second night so they slept from 7 last night to 7 this morning and are off to school for their exams!! don't expect too much from them.
really looking forward to the next instalment on your trip and to some more great photos. I feel as though I know you all now. Keep up the good work!
Love to you all from Gillian Ivor Jack Toby and Naomi

Hi Emlyn & friends. Really interested to read all about your adventures, sounds much more exciting than breeding chickens (which is what I do). I went to Glasgow with Fiona yesterday to see Patricia's new flat, really nice and a great location near the University. Love from Uncle Pete

Hello Anthony Emlyn and Bree. Well how are you all? We are all still enjoying your wonderful news and photos and hoping you all stay safe and sound! Hope you are all remembering your tablets every day!! and glad to see you are keeping to the main roads Emlyn!! Some of my advice has obviously sunk in!
Anthony - I enjoyed a couple of wonderful days with Grandma, Gillian, Doreen and Linda and now here I am back in Marbella for 3 weeks! We just arrived early this morning. Hoping to get together with Emlyn´s Mum and Dad for a drink! Rebecca, Sinead and I are all in the Puerto Banus internet cafe that you use. It´s really handy. Watched the mens´final today. Federer was just too much for Andy Rodd*** ...as Barry predicted!! He won in straight sets.
Uncle Colum has a message for you - to try the Colombian coffee which he says is really good. He has travelled a great deal himself, just like you! All the family are asking for you and trusting you are having a most wonderful time and at the same time keeping safe!
Keep well all of you and keep telling us all your news. Your experiences will certainly be unforgettable. Such a wonderful opportunity to meet people and learn about other cultures.
Love to all of you xx
Julia

Rascal Senior A.k.a Gazagirl
Rascal Junior! Wassssssup!!! How's the trip?
Thanks for sending me an email..... FINALLY.... just before your trip. I am so excited you're in S.America I wish I could go back. So here's some travel tips: 1) get the cheapest hostels always cos that's where you'll find the most fun and crazy travellers 2) you must try the aguardiente but don't drink too much it might literally kills you as it is made for south american blood not european weak blood.... 3) don't get stunk with any annoying travellers you might not be able to get rid of them, if you notice soemone is being a bit clingy plot your escape and run to another hostel in the middle of the night...! 4) In Bolivia, you ABSOLUTELY have to go to Lake Titicaca and get a boat (or we swam while the boat took our bags but the water is absolutely freezing cos it's at like 3000m or something we almost died) out to Isla del Sol, it's too beautiful out there. Go to La Paz, it's pretty but not much going on. Go in the north to Rurrenabaque in the jungle area, its a cool town where you can get 3-day jungle tours that are so wicked, you get to swim in the lakes with pink dolphins, caimans and piranhas, then you go searching for jaguars in the night and go piranha fishing... be careful not to be eaten by the crocodiles cos this happens sometimes... You have to go to the Salar (salt lake) de Uyuni in the south its beautiful and go visit the hotel where everything, even beds and tables are made of salt! Something cool to do is to go to Cochabamba and from there get a ride tot he river where you can hitch a ride with a Bolivian family up the river to Trinidad, for something like $20, the family cooks all the food and it takes you 6 days, you will def get diaorrhea but its a lot of fun, you will see how they fish turtles from the river and make you soup with them... and you see lots of things! Hmm... what else... Go to Potosi the mines in the south of Bolivia its incredible but kind of sad cos the miners are treated like animals and work in really hard conditions. They chew coca leaves to forget the pain and hunger and now and then they die from the toxic fumes or from a mineshaft collapsing.... then take a trip in a jeep for 3 days to the Atacama desert in the north of Chile, where you have to stay in San pedro de Atacama its too cool a place, and food is great!
man thats too much I wrote already, i know you guys dont want to read loads of stuff you want to get out there and see stuff so i'll leave you for now, Espero que lo estas pasando bien, muchacho! Te extrano mucho I miss you cuidate and come back in one piece AAAIGHT!!! Nothing much new in Gaza all I can say is that there's no crocodiles here, just a few Israelis which is kind of similar... ;) xxx
Gillian, Ant's Ant
Hi Anthony
Great exam performance! Did you also get a first in partying but forget to tell your mum about that one??!! Well, at least you now actually deserve this great trip.
We are excited about Robbie coming to stay in Manchester fo two weeks...he arrives Sunday evening.
Am on my own this weekend (sad!!), Ivor in Marbella and will probably see your mum and the girls and the children are off at camp until tomorrow.
Fab photos and your documentary about your trip is brilliant, very colourful and descriptive and you all seem to be having the holiday of a lifetime.....keep it up and try not to have too many brushes with the police as it scares your mum!!
Lots of love, Gillian etc xxxxxxxxxxx
Barry
Been looking through the emails and nobody seems to have been keeping you chaps up to date with the Wimbledon scores. So I will tell you. Ugly Venus is playing Lindsay Davenport in the ladies final tomorrow and Roger the Swiss Roll is waiting for the winner of Johanssen and Rodd*** in the mens final. That semi was rained off at 6-5 Rodd*** in the 1st set. It doesn't really matter who Rog plays cos he will win whatever.
I am sure that news is more important than all the family rubbish everyone else writes.
Keep enjoying the trip boys. I am sure there are loads of photos you won't be putting on the site though!!
