We woke up to a missing Richard and were in the midst of having to leave soon. After we said our goodbyes to Mardy, Scodday and Josh, Rick rocked up just in the nick of time and we got the carriages over to the port. Later, when I was looking through the photos I realised that Rick was in the photo behind us, getting out of a horse and carriage before we even noticed he was back.
Back to Bali by fast boat, the world's worst rollercoaster ride and probably the worst boat ride of my life (even worse than the stormy cruise to France). We foolishly sat at the front, so that we wouldn't get splashed by water with the window open, forgetting that the front of the boat has the most movement. We were also travelling against the current, so it was ridiculously bumpy and every time the boat lifted off the water and smashed back down my stomach literally flipped 360 in my stomach. Every time the boat got air, I lost contact with my seat. Wasn't sure if I could handle it, but with the combination of Isaac's lap, gripping onto the chair and sticking my head out the window, I made it out an hour later.
Eventually we made it back to Bali and hitched a bus to Ubud and quickly found a hotel. Ubud is much nicer than Kuta, with nice local shops and barely any people hassling you on the street. We had lunch and I had some pretty nice fish satay. Unluckily we only had one night and with my back battered by the boat, I was bed bound for the evening, so I didn't get to explore. Ubud would be a nice choice out of Bali to visit again. So instead of exploring, I rolled around in bed all night. Isaac brought me dinner in bed, Nasi Goreng and after eating I pilled up with brufen, watched boondocks and then went to sleep super early at eight something.
