Not much going on today during the day. In the evening we went out with the locals who work at the villa. Mardy (19), Kadack (Jessie seems to think that was his name, but it sounded more like Scoddaaay to me) (23) and Mardy's older brother (24/25). Mardy was telling me that none of the locals on Gili were born there and that they all come from Lombok, the island over, to work. He was also telling me that he goes home once a month back to Lombok to see his fam...

Today it was yet again another pool day, playing around doing human pyramids, throwing each other in to the water and making held like a princess chains. We watched a few flicks in the lounge and just more chilling. Here there isn't much to do but eat, drink, sleep, chill, swim and go out but that's fine because it's nice to have nothing to do and just relax. Today we went on a Snorkelling trip. The boat had a glass bottom but couldn't really see much as the seabed was pretty far down. They took us to Gili Meno and Gili Air, the two other Gili islands (there are three Gili islands in total). At Meno, there was a fair swim in the open ocean to the shallow coral, where all the sea life was. There was something very relaxing about swimming underwater in the open ocean. The shallow sea bed rose like a cliff in the ocea...

Today after breaky, a swim and a frisbee about in the pool, we went for lunch on the beach at a nice reggae cafe. Some of the employees were jammin at the table next to us. Sooo many tunes - Bob Marley, Red Hot Chilis, Bill Withers and much more! Cool guys. We chilled out some more until dinner time. We woke up feeling fairly rough but soon got out of it. For breakfast, the guys who work at the villa cooked us whatever we requested and served us hand and foot, cleaning up after us and that. Felt pretty guilty as they were so helpful so I made sure to be polite and thank them! Even though we've spent a hell of a lot on the villa per night, I reckon I'll give them a decent tip!
